ITC Partner-Conference Track

Motivation

ITC offers a very few selected IEEE or ACM conferences the opportunity to market their forum as part of the 2010 ITC Partner Conference Technical Track. Partner conferences are very successful and technical reputable in selected technical areas complementary and adjacent to the ITC technical program. The partner conference track increases the awareness of the forum among the semiconductor industry leaders and executives that visit ITC every year. We feel the ITC audience is interested to learn more about these conferences through sampling a few representative presentations. The partner conferences will be announced in the plenary and highlighted in the documentation distributed at the conference.

Structure

The track consists of up to three representative papers or presentations of the partner conference. The program or general chair of the partner conference has the opportunity to select three representative papers that were rated as among the best by his committee as well as chair the session. At the beginning of the session the chair can present and market the forum. Since this is the first year ITC introduces this track, the final details might be different.

Next steps

If your conference or workshop is interested in becoming a partner conference of ITC and to participate in the partner conference track please let us know before April 2. We will need to have your selection of representative papers by April 30 (at least 1 paper, maximum 3 papers). You will need to align with the authors that they are able & willing to present their contribution at ITC (which will be held in Austin October 31 to November 5). The authors will need to submit slides (and optionally a paper) by April 30th. We will notify the authors and you by June 15. Depending on the number of submissions, we may not be able to accept all submissions.

Best Paper Award

The Best Paper Award has been renamed, the ITC Ned Kornfield Best Paper Award in honor of Dr. Nathanial “Ned” Kornfield, ITC’s founder and longtime Chairman Emeritus.

To encourage excellence in its technical program, ITC presents awards to authors of outstanding papers presented at ITC and published in the proceedings. In determining award-winning papers, the ITC Awards Selection Committee considers the quality of the papers as published in the Proceedings and as presented at the conference technical sessions. The committee’s decisions are based on responses by conference attendees as recorded on session rating cards and on the observations and recommendations of the ITC Program Committee.
